We at the TLC Essex Appeal are always touched by the stories we receive from families who have been comforted by our teddies during challenging times. Today, we are delighted to share a heartfelt message from a grateful grandfather:

"Hi,

I just wanted to say thank you for the TLC teddy we were given at Southend Hospital.

On Monday, we had to take our grandson to A&E due to him having a high temperature and vomiting. As part of the treatment, he was getting a bit upset with all the medicine and blood pricks so he was really pleased to get the teddy to cuddle. As you can see from the attached photo, he fell asleep cuddling the teddy.

We didn't come up with a very imaginative name for him and just called him Green Teddy!

Thank you very much. It was much appreciated."

Stories like this remind us of the importance of our mission and the comfort that a simple teddy bear can provide. Knowing that "Green Teddy" helped soothe a young child during a stressful hospital visit brings immense joy to our hearts.
