Last night, Big Ted and I had the pleasure of visiting St Michael’s Lodge No. 6683 at Orsett Masonic Hall—and what a wonderful evening it was!
The Lodge had generously donated over £1,000 to the TLC Essex Appeal, so following the Passing of Bro Paul Clavero to the Second Degree—a ceremony delivered with great care by W.Bro Tan Channa—I had the honour of presenting the Worshipful Master with a Bronze Patron Certificate in recognition of the Lodge’s fantastic support.
The spirit of generosity continued at the Festive Board, where the Brethren kindly supported the Appeal further by purchasing £95 worth of TLC lapel pins—all without the need for any DC-issued fines (though perhaps that helped encourage a few sales!).
Their support will help us continue providing teddy bears to A&E departments across Essex, offering comfort to children during some of the most frightening and uncertain moments of their lives.
A heartfelt thank you to W.Bro Tan Channa, the Officers and Brethren of St Michael’s Lodge for their warm welcome, outstanding hospitality, and continued dedication to charitable giving. Your contributions will bring smiles and reassurance to countless young patients—one teddy at a time.
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
