On the 5th of December 2023, amidst the wintry charm, members of Ingrebourne Lodge No. 3345 convened at Upminster for a special white table event.
This gathering wasn't just about fellowship; it was a heartfelt demonstration of support for a cause close to their hearts.
W.Bro Ian Watson, Treasurer of the TLC Appeal Essex, graced the occasion, invited to shed light on the significance of the TLC Appeal. His presence added weight to the evening, emphasising the importance of their collective efforts in aiding those in need.
As the evening progressed, hearts warmed not just by the crackling fire but also by the spirit of generosity that filled the room. Inspired by W.Bro Ian Watson's words, Ingrebourne Lodge made a decision to act. They generously donated the proceeds from their raffle and £100 raised from auctioning a 25” TLC Fundraising Teddy.
Their contribution, totaling £525, was not merely a financial gesture; it was a symbol of solidarity and compassion. In an instant, Ingrebourne Lodge became Patrons of the TLC Appeal, their commitment etched in the annals of charity.
The impact of their donation extends far beyond the pounds and pence. It represents the essence of Freemasonry, where brotherhood extends beyond the lodge, embracing the wider community in its fold.
Ingrebourne Lodge No. 3345 has illuminated the path for others to follow, showcasing the transformative power of collective action and the profound difference it can make in the lives of those less fortunate. This December evening will be remembered not just for its warmth but for the enduring legacy of kindness it has left behind.
